Kroc Corps Community Center

The Salvation Army

"The idea is to create a facility that can change this community and impact peoples lives"

David Bentley, The Salvation Army

Work got underway in earnest during July with the start of grading and demolition of portions of the existing shell.  The first order of business will be to complete a series of structural upgrades while marching forward with foundation work for the 10,000 sf of added space.  Things will really change shape in September with the arrival of structural steel and the start of wall and roof framing.

When completed the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Center will be a sparkling complex that will serve individuals and community groups in both Suisun and Fairfield.  Amenities will include lap and fitness pools, gymnasium, weight room, dance/aerobics, spinning locker rooms, child watch and community meeting rooms.  In addition to the recreational facility the complex will include a 10,000 sf Chapel that will also serve as a performing arts center.

Owned and operated by the Salvation Army Del Oro Division the facilities mission is to "positively impact the neighborhood, providing a safe place for children, adults, families and seniors to interact with one another and to help produce healthy minds, bodies and souls."
